Cross-Borough Alliance

The Cross-Borough Alliance (CBA) is a collaborative network coordinated by Ekota Academy, bringing together schools, community organisations, charities, faith groups, and local authorities across Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham.

Bringing Communities together

Formed to strengthen local partnerships and improve coordination between service providers, the CBA promotes connection, communication, and collaboration — uniting stakeholders who share a common goal of improving outcomes for local communities.

Through quarterly meetings, shared newsletters, and joint initiatives, CBA members exchange information about local activities, training, and services to ensure residents can access opportunities that support wellbeing, learning, and social connection.

The Alliance operates under a Memorandum of Understanding, guided by the principles of unity, inclusivity, and respect, and is supported by a diverse steering group representing education, voluntary, and faith sectors.

Together, the Cross-Borough Alliance is helping to build a more connected, resilient, and inclusive community — where organisations and residents across both boroughs work side by side to make a lasting, positive impact.

Our Logo Design Competition

The Cross-Borough Alliance (CBA) logo is being created by the community, for the community. We have invited local schoolchildren across Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham to design a logo that represents unity, collaboration, and togetherness,  the core values of the Alliance. The winning design will become the official CBA logo, and the winner’s school will receive a £100 prize. Full details are available on our competition flyer.
