Ekota Academy, in partnership with Barking & Dagenham, provides free, confidential support to local residents who need guidance with everyday challenges.

Whether you're facing financial difficulties, need help accessing services, or want support using digital technology, our friendly team is available to assist you.

No appointment required. Walk-ins welcome.

Who Can Access This Service?

The Community Support Desk is available to residents of Barking and Dagenham, particularly those who:

  • Are on a low income
  • Are experiencing financial hardship
  • Receive benefits
  • Need help accessing support services
  • Require assistance with forms or digital technology
  • Want guidance on available community resources

Yes. You are welcome to bring a family member, friend or support worker if that would help.

Become Our Volunteer

This is a chance to be a part of a social movement working with an experienced and passionate team. Become a volunteer today and gain new skills, meet new people, support and give back to your local community. Our opportunities can also help those individuals seeking paid employment to build up their confidence and skills. You must be 16 years and above with no criminal convictions. All volunteers will be required to complete a DBS check. You will receive a range of relevant training and support to deliver your role.

Volunteer Recruitment
