Ekota is a community organisation working across Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham, bringing people together through sport, youth programmes, women’s activities, community events, digital inclusion and more.
Our mission is simple. To create opportunities, build connections and strengthen our community.
From children and young people to women, families and local residents, we provide welcoming spaces where people can learn, connect, stay active and thrive.
We are proud to be a recipient of The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising the dedication and impact of our volunteers.
Ekota means “Unity” in Sanskrit and
“The Place to Be” in Cree.
