Ekota Hub

Emerald Cafe & The Hub

Located at the heart of Goodmayes Park, with stunning views of nature at its best, the Emerald Café provides a haven to relax, work and connect. It is a thriving hub where people from all backgrounds can enjoy a relaxed environment, taking a moment for themselves or meeting up with friends and family.

The café and hub are at the centre of Ekota’s community projects, such as cricket, football, martial arts, leadership, mental well-being, and a range of development projects.

In the last few months, we have been running our All-stars and Dynamo cricket programs, walking cricket, walking football, and women’s dance classes in the open area outside the café. Programme participants and those supporting them have been accessing the café as part of the Ekota experience. Those simply visiting the café can be inspired and feel part of collective community activities.

The Emerald Café is an experience in itself, proud to be informally named the hidden brunch spot in Goodmayes by locals and many food bloggers around London and Essex. It is a great favourite on Tik Tok and Instagram and many have travelled from far and wide to enjoy the unique Emerald experience.  The café-bistro is proud to use top quality ingredients and special blends of coffee beans to create some of the best coffee experiences and delicious dishes. This is all delivered in a beautiful and enchanting setting, with indoor and outdoor seating available.

Emerald Café is proud in bringing high quality halal and vegetarian dishes to the heart of the community. Working in partnership with organisations such as Redbridge Council and Essex Cricket, we have created a safe space for everyone in the community.  The café  is open seven days a week from 9.00 am – 18:00pm* (*earlier closure times in the winter due to park closing times)

We are proud that the Emerald Café is led by two local award winning event experts, with over 25 years’ experience between them in the events industry, successfully catering for experiences for 100 to 1000 guests. The café can be hired for private events, from birthdays, meetings, social gatherings right down to gender reveals. The Emerald can also tailor bespoke menus for your event.

The success of the café  supports the long-term sustainability of Ekota. More importantly, the connections and benefits of visiting the café are central to what we are trying to achieve as an organisation. You become part of the Ekota community as soon as you enter our café . A big thank you from Ekota and Emerald for all the support so far. Please continue to spread the word and visit the café.  Don’t forget when you visit to tag us on @emerald_bistro
